On February 15th, Data CoLAB presented the Territorial Intelligence Center (CIT). The platform centralizes information from “various open data sources” about Portuguese municipalities in one place, enabling their comparison.
“There are several institutions with open data, such as the National Statistics Institute (INE), but what was missing was this aggregated solution to allow municipalities and citizens to have a common structure — something that makes them comparable and equal,” explained Ana Gonçalves, Product Development Director at Data CoLAB, during her speech.
The session featured interventions from Mário Campolargo, Secretary of State for Digitization and Administrative Modernization; Luís Nobre, Mayor of Viana do Castelo; and Vítor Moreira, General Director of the Municipality of Famalicão.
