“Promoting Applied Research to Meet the Needs of SMEs” was the central theme of the roadshow organized by the Portuguese Industrial Association (AIP), in partnership with NERC – the Business Association of the Coimbra Region, and in collaboration with Uninova and Fnway.
Data CoLAB participated in the event, which took place on January 31st at Novotecna’s facilities. The session brought together researchers from NOVA University Lisbon and companies, aiming to identify organizational needs in the field of Research and Development, particularly in areas such as energy, robotics, and others.
Topics such as Research and Technological Development (R&TD), National Programs, Horizon Europe, and R&D projects developed at NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-UNL) were discussed.
The initiative also aimed to highlight significant advances in the Industry 4.0 economy (such as system interoperability, energy efficiency, etc.), while promoting Research and Development (R&D) to help pave the way toward a more advanced and sustainable technological future.
The session was chaired by Horácio Pina Prata, President of the Business Association of the Coimbra Region, and José Eduardo Carvalho, President of AIP, and included talks by Mira Amaral from FNWAY and Ricardo Jardim Gonçalves, Full Professor at FCT-UNL.
